The strategic management process is dynamic and continuous and requires frequent adaptation and/or adjustments in strategy to adhere to environmental changes, forecasting results and unexpected situations. Xes provides strategic direction and guidance in preparing your company for the next phase of growth. Strategic plans are customized according to the characteristics of your project, needs and industry type. The process involves where you are now, where you want to go and how to get there. To insure positive results, we provide action plans, return on investments, time-lines and outline responsibilities.
Generally, strategic management is a combination of the following three main processes:
- Strategy Formulation
- Situation Analysis, Self-Evaluation and Competitor Analysis for both the internal and external characteristics using; Macro-environment (PEST Analysis) and micro-environment (Porter’s 5 forces).
- Crafting a vision, mission and overall objectives (Corporate & Business Unit) including financial and strategic, and tactical objectives (measurable units).
- Suggest a strategic plan. The plan provides the details of how to achieve the set objectives.
- Strategy Implementation
- Allocation of sufficient resources including financial (ROI or cost-benefit analysis), technology, time, personnel, competitive capabilities and analysis, etc.
- Building Resource Strengths & Organizational Capabilities. Establish a structure of execution and assigning specific tasks and/or processes.
- Manage process by monitoring results, comparing to benchmarks and best practices, evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency, and establish controls for variances and make adjustments where necessary.
- Strategy Evaluation & Control
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the organizational and project strategy.
- Define parameters to be measured and their target values, perform measurements and compare results.
- Establish best practices (marketing, research & development, procurement, production, human resources and information systems).
- Develop and implement necessary control systems to facilitate this monitoring.
